In my constant weaving practice, a collection of patterns has accumulated over time. These patterns serve as an archive and references that support my work process in future projects or commissions and inspire my clients.
However, these patterns are not just tools but standalone works of art that each open up their own micro-world. They offer a tactile and visual experience, asking nothing from the viewer but to simply enjoy them.
Weaving is my personal practice, akin to drawing. It is my medium of expression, and in the process of free weaving, I find relaxation and can lose myself – the possibilities are endless. Additionally, the patterns can be read as time stamps, where something that moves me in my daily life can be transformed into a piece of fabric or a larger artistic research project...
